Day 1

Lima

Arrive Lima. On arrival you will be met and assisted with check in at the Ramada Airport Hotel.

Days 2 - 3

Urubamba Valley

Commercial flight to Cusco. On arrival in Cusco drive to the Urubamba Valley also known as the Sacred Valley of the Incas (elevation 8500 feet). Visit Pisac ruins and the local market in Pisac. The following day visit the town of Chincheros, a traditional textiles workshop and Ollantaytambo fortress.

Day 4

Machu Picchu

Transfer to Ollanta train station. Morning vistadome train to Machu Picchu. Afternoon visit Machu Picchu

Days 5 - 6

Machu Picchu / Cusco

Spend the morning wandering the ancient ruins. Afternoon return to Cusco by vistadome train. The next day explore Cusco and the surrounding ruins of Kenko, the ceremonial bath of Tambomachay and the amazing fortress of Sachsayhuaman.

Days 7 - 8

Cusco/Lima/Chiclayo

Commercial flight to Lima. On arrival connect with a commercial flight to the northern town of Chiclayo. The next day visit Sipan where the tomb of the Lord of Sipan, ruler of the Moche was discovered. The golden tomb is considered to be the richest in the Americas. Visit the Sipan Musuem to learn more about the Moche people. Visit the pre-Columbian pyramids of Tucume. Return to the Gran Hotel Chiclayo.

Days 9 - 11

Chachapoyas

Travel with your private guide/driver leaving the coast and heading for the cloud forest town of Chahapoyas. After breakfast the next day visit Kuelap, a spectacular pre-Inca walled city tucked away on the hilltop overlooking the Utcumbamba Valley. Kuelap consists of massive exterior stone walls containing more than four hundred buildings. On Day 11, enjoy an excursion by horse to visit the colorful funeral buildings of Revash perched on a ledge high on a cliff. Marvel at the geometric designs and figures of camelids that decorate the cliffs.

Days 12 - 13

Cajamarca

Drive to Cajamarca via the Maranon Canyon. En route descend through some of Peru's deepest canyons. The following morning explore the countryside and visit the Ventanillas de Otuzco. Return to the city visit the main square and the 17th century San Francisco church.

Day 14

Trujillo

Drive to the colonial city of Trujillo.

Day 15

Lima

Visit the Moche Sun and Moon temples. Drive to Chan Chan a sprawling city of the Chimu culture. Return to Lima by commercial flight

International Flights Home

City tour of Lima. Transfer to the Lima international airport intime for your flight home.
