Arrive Antananarivo and transfer to your hotel.
Take a scheduled domestic flight south to Fort Dauphin then drive to your luxury tented camp on the Mandrare River. Set in the grounds of an old colonial plantation house, the camp is just 3km from the village of Ifotaka and opposite the sacred ancestral forests of the Antandroy Tribe. Descend a few steps to a large sandy beach and a purpose built terrace right on the river's edge. Your local guide will take you for excursions into the nearby spiny forest and enlighten you about the Antandroy tribes in the area. The forests of Ifotaka harbor a great diversity of wildlife. There are both the Southern Spiny Forests (Spiny Desert) and the Deciduous Gallery Forests. Day and night walks will allow you to see both forests in detail and the particular wildlife that lives in them. There are 4 species of lemur: Ring Tailed, Verreuxs Sifaka, Mouse and White Foot Sportive (both nocturnal).
Return to Fort Dauphin for a scheduled domestic flight to Antananarivo and drive to Perinet.
Take a morning walk in Mantadia National Park or Perinet Reserve, home to Indiri lemurs, the largest species of lemur, before driving to Antananarivo and checking in to your hotel.
Take a scheduled domestic flight this morning to Maroantsetra and transfer by boat to your luxury tented accommodations. Enjoy guided forest walks with wildlife and bird watching by day or night, guided sea kayaking, snorkeling, whale watching and fishing. The primary rainforest of Parc National Masoala, rich in wildlife, is a short walk in any direction and numerous birds, reptiles and mammals are found in the camp itself. The camp bounds on the warm, coral-rich waters of the Tampolo Parc Marin, with exciting snorkeling right off the beach.
