Namunyak Wildlife Conservancy
Explore the vast and pristine Namunyak Conservancy, an 850,000-acre community-run protected wilderness that supports diverse wildlife and the indigenous Samburu people. As semi-nomadic pastoralists, the Samburu have coexisted with this region’s incredible wildlife for centuries, and their harmony with nature is central to the conservancy’s mission. During your stay, experience the wonders of this breathtaking landscape through guided game drives, bush walks, and mountain hikes, all led by expert Samburu guides.
Dive into local culture with hands-on experiences like beading with Samburu women, learning blacksmithing from a skilled iron monger, or visiting a Samburu settlement for an authentic glimpse into daily life. The milk-to-market program provides another unique opportunity, allowing you to interact with Samburu mamas as they deliver milk for the Reteti Elephant Sanctuary. Follow the milk’s journey to the sanctuary for a visit during feeding time.
Other highlights include sunrise walking safaris, guided trail runs, horseback safaris, and outdoor bush meals under the vast African sky. If conditions allow, you may even visit the singing wells, a rare cultural experience where the Samburu sing to their cattle as they draw water.

Masai Mara
Welcome to the world-renowned Masai Mara, an extraordinary ecosystem where the wildlife-filled savannas come alive with incredible biodiversity. The plentiful vegetation supports millions of herbivores, from wildebeest and zebras to elephants, Masai giraffes, and various gazelle species. This abundance of prey leads to high predator numbers, including cheetahs, leopards, and the world’s densest population of lions, creating a thrilling wildlife spectacle every day.
During your stay, you’ll experience morning and afternoon game drives led by expert guides—ensuring not just unforgettable wildlife encounters but also a deep respect for and understanding of this remarkable ecosystem. Beyond the game drives, we invite you to engage with the local Maasai community and take part in meaningful conservation efforts. Participants must be able to climb into and out of light aircraft and safari vehicles un-aided. Also, they must be able to climb up and down stairs without a railing. They should be fully mobile and capable of walking moderate distances at an easy pace, at times over rough terrain, and be able to withstand four wheel-drive vehicles that travel over dirt roads and sometimes rough, bumpy ground.
Our chartered flights utilize light aircraft in commuter configuration. The flight schedule may include unscheduled stops due to factors such as weather or fuel availability beyond the crew’s control. Flight schedules can also change at any time should security or other issues arise. The type, model, and registration of the aircraft is subject to change.
Our trip dates fall into Kenya’s short rains season, which typically begins in late October and continues through December. During this time, you can expect warm temperatures with daytime highs ranging from 70°F to 90°F in most regions, such as Nairobi, the Masai Mara, and other safari destinations. Evenings and early mornings can be cooler, especially in higher altitude areas like the central highlands and Nairobi.
Rainfall during this period is generally intermittent, with short, intense showers usually occurring in the late afternoon or evening. Despite occasional precipitation, it’s a good time for wildlife viewing, as animals remain active and the landscapes are coming alive.
